The Viking is BOLT’s take on the popular Concept2 rowing machine and features their new Performance Monitor, which provides accurate data tracking for every workout. It tells you the force of each individual row and can even monitor your heart rate wirelessly.
Another Concept2 feature that makes its way to the Viking is the spiral damper, which allows users to quickly adjust the airflow and, therefore, the resistance imposed by the flywheel. The dampener also minimizes the noise of the pull while maximizing its overall regularity for a smooth (if not easy) ride.
You will find that the Viking’s seat is uncommonly high. The added height takes undue pressure off the knees, making it more accessible to special-needs athletes. The 20-inch seat height is just one of the many ways the Viking—like the Norwegian raiders who gave it its name—stands tall.
